Things To Do in McKinnon

Including Erin, Tennessee Ridge, Danville & Hurricane Creek

McKinnon, Tennessee and the surrounding area is Kentucky Lake's most rural location and is great for those seeking a low-key, quiet get-away.  There are a handful of restaurants and lodging opportunities in Houston County and there is direct access to Kentucky Lake.

Kentucky Lake

Kentucky Lake is known for it's fishing with abundant Crappie, Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass.  You'll also find catfish, bluegill, sauger and more.  To find out more about Kentucky Lake fishing, visit our Kentucky Lake fishing reports page.

Irish Day

Each year the residents of Houston County celebrate Irish Day with an Irish Day Parade and Arts and Crafts Festival.  The "Wearing of the Green" is an annual event that includes a Grand Parade, Leprechauns, banquets, carnival rides, pageants and arts & craft booths.  Relive the spirit of St. Patrick at one of the largest St. Patrick's Day celebrations south of Chicago!
