Captain Kirk's Fishing Report

Written by Kirk Weber - Published on March 22, 2019

CAPTAIN'S LOG Air Temperature: Low 38 High 59 Water Temperature: Low 53 High 56 Water Elevation: 355.6 (Winter pool 354') Water Clarity: Dirty in some areas but clearing Seems like the lake level has fallen 10 feet in the last 10 days! That is not far from the truth. Bad news is the fish have already moved to the banks and left. Good news is soon the lake will be back to winter pool and will stabilize and then start to rise beginning April 1st. Throw in some warmer temps and that is a good recipe for good spring fishing! BASS Been catching some nice Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Crappie, Bluegill, Red Ear, Yellow and White Bass, and Drum this past week. Overall the bite has been tough but have had some great fishing moments. Look for the catching to only improve in the near future! Check out the latest pictures posted to my website. If you are in the lake area be sure to visit Fast Eddie's Bait and Tackle on Hwy 68 in Fairdealing. Great inventory...great food...great drinks...great people...plenty of gas to get you where you are going. Captain Kirk, OUT!
