The venerable old cap and ball firearms were a staple of rural life in the 1850s. Even before war ended the golden age between the rivers, these valuable tools were the primary means of defending the home and securing wild game. Come out to the Homeplace this Father's Day weekend for a live Black Powder demonstration!
