What's a morning routine without a fresh pot of coffee? Coffee was a popular drink even in the 1850s, but they did not have modern coffee pots with filters to keep the grounds out of their mugs. So how did they keep the grounds out? Stop by the Double Pen kitchen to see how coffee was made in the 1850s from roasting and grinding the beans to brewing the coffee using a whole raw egg, shell and all!
