September 3, 2015 | Press Release from Land Between The Lakes

Celebrate the wonders of the Elk & Bison Prairie on Saturday, September 19, from 10am to 4pm at the Golden Pond Visitor Center in Land Between The Lakes. The Elk & Bison Prairie Celebration is free to the public. Hands-on displays of prairie plants and animals, prairie photography and artwork displays, and children’s activities and crafts will be ongoing through the day.

“Bring your family and friends out for this once-a-year opportunity to learn how people utilized prairie plants and animals, and just enjoy a beautiful September day,” said Curtis Fowler, Range Technician at Land Between The Lakes. “This is also one of the best times of year to hear Elk bugling.” For more information, visit www.landbetweenthelakes.us/calendar/elk-bison-prairie-celebration-2/.
