Malcolm Creek Resort Location

Situated along scenic Malcolm Creek, just off the main channel of Kentucky Lake, is Malcolm Creek Resort. A favorite spot for fishing and other outdoor activities, the resort provides a host of amenities for the lone fisherman or the entire family. Fishing, skiing and boating abound on the picturesque western bay shore of beautiful Kentucky Lake, offering the perfect place for families to indulge in all sorts of outdoor fun. Guests can also enjoy a private beach, swimming pool and playground to keep the kiddoes entertained.

Lodging

Cozy is the word for the tree-shaded cottages found at Malcolm Creek Resort. Each unit includes a full kitchen, private bath and deck with a view. All cottages are equipped with central heat and air and a television. Each is completely furnished with linens, dishes, pots, pans, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Cottages are two bedrooms with one bath and one sofa-sleeper in the living room. The resort’s website shares images of floor plans so that visitors can select a vacation rental that is right for them. Lodging is available year-round, which makes planning a trip to Kentucky Lake a cinch no matter when you want to make the trek.

Pet Policy

Pets are welcome in the cottages, as long as they meet the resort’s weight requirements. A non-refundable pet rate does apply. See website for details.

The Marina

Malcolm Creek Resort runs a full-service marina that allows guests every convenience they’ll need to enjoy a fun-filled vacation of fishing and boating. Guests can rent open and covered boat slips at the marina, which also serves as a one-stop fishing shop, selling fuel, bait, tackle and fishing licenses. For those more interested in taking advantage of other recreational activities along the lake, the marina is also a great place to rent paddleboats, and to purchase drinks, snacks and apparel.

Fishing and Outdoor Recreation

Blue gill, bass and catfish are abundant and an excellent spot to hook them is right from the Malcolm Creek Resort marina’s dock. Visitors can peruse the resort’s online photo gallery to view evidence of the bountiful fishing opportunities available to guests at the resort.

In addition, to offering a prime spot for fishing, Malcolm Creek Resort’s adjacent bay provides an excellent venue for skiing and water tubing, as well.

Boat Rentals

Visitors don’t have to own a boat to take advantage of the fun-filled adventures awaiting them on Kentucky Lake. Malcolm Creek Resort offers boat rentals for those who desire to spend their days fishing and for those who simply want to enjoy a leisurely day floating on gorgeous Kentucky Lake. Also, nearby Land Between the Lakes Recreation Area offers loads of outdoor activities to entice the outdoor adventurers in the group. Visitors can enjoy hiking and biking trails, a nature center, the buffalo and elk reserve, and countless historical and nature offerings.
