Find Your Bliss at Kentucky Lake

Lighthouse LandingLet’s face it. With so much vying for our attention these days, it’s difficult to escape the stress of everyday life…even on vacation. While this region is loaded with outdoor activities meant to entice the adventurous spirits among you, it’s also a great place to soak up sunset views and get away from it all in one of the area’s Kentucky Lake cabins!

Where to Find a Room With a Sunset View

No matter where you’re staying on Kentucky Lake you’ll love the views, however if sunsets fuel the fires of romance in your life, then you’re definitely in for a treat at Lighthouse Landing in Grand Rivers, Kentucky. These Kentucky Lake cottages overlook the harbor and Kentucky Lake, itself, offering a front row seat to some of the most spectacular sunsets you’ll ever feast your eyes upon.

Where to Go for Brunch

No vacation is complete apart from the opportunity to sleep in and catch up on your Zs. After a restful night you’re sure to be starving in the morning. Might we recommend a visit to Liteside Bakery for brunch? Don’t let the name fool you. What their “lite” dishes lack in calories they more than make up for in flavor.

This locally owned and operated bakery offers a delightful array of homemade muffins, quiche and a selection of salads and sandwiches that are sure to start any day of rest and relaxation off on the right note.

Places to Explore That Don’t Require Hiking Boots

Another feature that makes Lighthouse Landing Resort and Marina such a perfect destination from which to launch your trip is its close proximity to so many wonderful attractions. From the jetty located at the resort, one can walk the one-mile Grand Rivers Walking Trail that leads to a plethora of quaint downtown shopping, dining and evening entertainment spots. The trail is safe to explore during a daytime stroll or even a nighttime venture. Grand Rivers is the spot to find loads of  destinations to fill up your dance card during your time at Kentucky Lake.

The jetty was named by Southern Living Magazine as one of the four Most Scenic Views in the South in 2009 and one of the 50 Most Romantic Spots in the Country by readers of Cosmopolitan Magazine in 2006.

Patti's 1880s SettlementA Dinner and a Show That Rivals Even Branson

No one’s counting calories on this vacation. Sink your teeth into a delectable pork chop, sides and dessert at the new Hamburger Patti’s. Hamburger Patti's, which has temporarily replaced the restaurants Patti’s 1880's Settlement that burned in early 2018, takes visitors back to the good old days, when life seemed a little bit more simple. The shops shops and seasonal attractions make it a delightful destination to explore, which are still open despite the fire.

After dinner, take in one of the 15 live productions showcased throughout the year at the Badgett Playhouse Theatre in downtown Grand Rivers. Some shows will sell out early so be sure to purchase your tickets in advance.

Plan your visit in November or December and enjoy Grand Rivers’ Festival of Lights, an event that kicks off the Christmas season at Kentucky Lake. You’ll find just about every building in downtown Grand Rivers decked out in colorful lights and holiday décor.

Wind Down the Day

After a restful day exploring all that Grand Rivers has to offer, you’ll be ready for a quiet evening cozied up in your Kentucky Lake cottage at Lighthouse Landing, listening to the sounds of nature that make this a prime destination for some much deserved rest and relaxation.

Of course, you don’t have to take our word for it. See for yourselves all of the natural wonder that an escape to Kentucky Lake has to offer!
