Dryden Bay Campground Location
Some of the world’s finest fishermen have fished the waters of Lake Barkley and have rested their weary heads at the campgrounds found at Dryden Bay in Eddyville, Kentucky. The campground offers a serene environment in which guests can enjoy some much needed rest and relaxation, or can set up the RV, launch the boat and head out on the lake for some serious fishing.
One should not let the name deceive them. While Dryden Bay is home to campgrounds suitable for setting up a camper or parking the RV for a few days, ther are also cabins available here.
In fact, the cabins and campgrounds at Dryden Bay provide an idyllic atmosphere for guests to escape to nature. These simple structures offer a clear view of the rustic scenery that surrounds this quiet Lake Barkley getaway.
Cabins are two-bedrooms with queen sized beds and each is equipped with satellite television and a full kitchen. The living room provides a quiet place for families to disconnect from their daily grind and to get reconnected to one another.
Each cabin also includes a kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and a limited supply of cooking equipment. There is also an outdoor gas grill that can be used to cook up whatever fresh fish guests may catch during the day.
All cabins are nonsmoking. Daily, weekly and monthly rates are available.
Pets are prohibited in the cabins.
The fishing is fine at Dryden Bay Campgrounds. In fact, these grounds have served as a stellar launching pad for a slew of guys-only fishing trip, as well as a number of weeklong, family-friendly fish-a-thons. Those headed out on the lake will find a varied mix of the country’s very finest freshwater fish, including bass, crappie, bluegill, catfish and more. Those who do not bring a boat with them are welcome to fish from the campground’s covered dock.
Local fishing guides are available and the campground staff keeps guests apprised of the latest fishing reports. In fact, weekly reports can be found on their website.
The campground’s boat ramp is located within a few feet of the campsites and cabins. The boat ramp’s convenient location makes it easy for boaters and fishermen to load and unload their vessels in and out of Lake Barkley.
The 33,000-gallon swimming pool and playground housed at Dryden Bay Campgrounds are popular hang outs for families with kids. Towels are not provided. Guests can also enjoy on-site laundry facilities.
While most of Dryden Bay’s guests spend long days out on the water, plenty of them enjoy exploring the local eateries, shops and entertainment available in the nearby communities. From the numerous events and activities hosted at the Land Between the Lakes Recreation Area to the golf courses, Venture River Water Park and a host of local restaurants, visitors to Dryden Bay will never grow bored. There is always something to do in the region.
