A Peaceful Pause at Cedar Pond

On a recent drive through Land Between the Lakes, I made a spontaneous stop at Cedar Pond—and I’m so glad I did. Tucked just off the road, this little spot is the perfect place to pause, rest, and soak in the beauty of the area.

There are several picnic tables set up around the pond, ideal for a quick lunch or just sitting and taking in the scenery. I had a simple picnic and watched yellow butterflies dance through the air, which added a little magic to the moment. The stillness of the water and the soft rustle of leaves made it easy to forget the rush of everyday life.

After eating, I took a short walk around the area. The path is peaceful and easy to follow, with just enough shade and plenty of spots to stop and admire the view. No matter if you're just passing through or looking for a quiet place to relax, Cedar Pond is a great little gem that’s worth the stop.

Next time you’re in Land Between the Lakes, bring a sandwich, take a seat, and let Cedar Pond slow you down.
