Woodlands Nature Station Celebrates the "Wonders of Wildlife" for Homeschool Day

The Woodlands Nature Station in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area will celebrate the “Wonders of Wildlife” during their 9th annual Homeschool Day on Friday, April 28 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Homeschool students will explore math, language, science, technology, and other STEM activities through the lens of wildlife ecology during this popular event.

“Kids love animals. The hope is to combine animals with STEM lessons and it lead to a fun but rewarding day,” said John Pollpeter, Lead Naturalist for the Woodlands Nature Station.

While children of all ages are welcome, the programming for this event is geared toward homeschoolers ages 5-12. Reservations are not required and homeschoolers and their families can participate with general admission. It is recommended to plan on at least two hours of time to maximize the experience.

The Woodlands Nature Station is located within Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area at 3146 Silver Trail Road, Cadiz, KY 42211. Admission is $7 for ages 18 and up; $5 for ages 5 -17; and free for ages 4 and under.
