Outdoors Kids' Fest at Woodlands Nature Station

The Friends of Land Between the Lakes invites you to bring the family to Woodlands Nature Station during Labor Day Weekend for Outdoor Kids' Weekend, a kid-friendly foray into some basic but important outdoor and camping skills.

From learning about the opossums you might see in your backyard to practicing your fishing skills, we'll learn some new ways to enjoy the outdoors. Now with extended hours: 10:00 am – 7 pm on Saturday, September 4, and Sunday, September 5, and 10:00am-5pm on Monday, September 6, at the Woodlands Nature Station inside Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, 3146 Silver Trail Road, Cadiz, Kentucky, 42211. Admission is $7 for ages 18 and up, $5 for ages 5 – 17 and free for ages 4 and under.

Saturday, September 4
10:00am - 4:30pm - CSI: Critter Scene Investigation
11:30am - 12:00pm - Goodies for Groundhog
1:00pm - 3:00 pm - Make Your Own Walking Stick
2:00pm - 4:00 pm - Go Fish!
2:30pm - 3:00 pm - For Goodness Snakes
3:30pm - 4:00pm - Crafty Coyotes
4:30pm - 4:50 pm - Parade of Raptors
5pm - 7:30 pm - Sunset Canoe Trip - Cost is $30 for each canoe and does not include daytime Nature Station admission. Nature Station closes at 5 pm. Registration is limited. Reservation and full deposit required. Call 270.924.2020 to reserve your space and location information.
