The Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife Resources (KDFWR) released an updated map of fish attractors in Kentucky Lake.
According to their Facebook page (Western Kentucky Fisheries), the agency placed nearly 11,000 hardwood stakes at 45 new locations and 350 sites across Kentucky Lake.
The KDFWR publishes a list and uses Google Maps to plot the coordinates of these attractors. On Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley, many fish attractors are not marked by buoy, so online resources are the best way to find the stake beds and other fish attractors.
There several ways to access the data. You can access and download the waypoints import them in your Humminbird, Garmin or Lowrance units. Other options include downloading the waypoints as a Microsoft Excel or CSV file to use on any comparable unit.
