Results from the KHSAA State Bass Fishing Tournament

Taylor Harris and Braxten Beasley from Muhlenburg County High School took first place this weekend at the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) State Bass Fishing Championship. The two-day event, held at Kentucky Dam Marina, featured 64 boats representing more than 50 schools across the Commonwealth.

The duo bagged 38 lbs. 10 ozs with their ten fish, nearly two pounds more than the second place winner. Harris also received the Biggest Bass Award, landing a monster 7 lb. 7 oz. fish on Day 2 of the event.

Second place belonged to Madison Central's Blake Harold and Cameron Cochran, who netted 10 fish totaling 36-15. Wolfe County's Jeremiah Terrill and Nathan Landsaw grabbed third place with 10 fish totaling 32-15.

Locally Trigg County High School's Robert Deason and Andrew Greene took ninth place with 10 fish totaling 30-9. Calloway County's Allen Mullins and Colton Noel took 14th place with 10 fish totaling 29-8.

The Midway University/KHSAA Female Student-Athlete of the Year Award went to Garrad County's Morgan Miracle.
