'America's Boating Course' Offered at Green Turtle Bay

'America's Boating Course' Offered at Green Turtle Bay

Green Turtle Bay in Grand Rivers, Ky. will be offering a basic boating course Saturday, April 29th through Sunday, April 30th at the marina.

America's Boating Course, provided by the Evansville Bend Sail and Power Squadron, includes boating education, boating safety, boating law and regulations. It is recognized by the US Coast Guard and approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA).

Adults and youth alike may take the course. Youth under 13 years of age who pass the exam may become eligible to operate a jet ski.

Boating course material will be presented from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday with a review and exam on Sunday from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. The cost of the course is $50.00 and covers the manual that can be kept for future reference.

In addition, free vessel safety checks will be offered for personal boats on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pre-registration for the safety check and the course is required.
