Turkey's especially in the 1800's would have been a symbol of peace and a plentiful harvest. By crafting turkey hands in the spirit of Thanksgiving represents a plentiful harvest season and an abundance of good luck moving forward into the next season. Kids of all ages will enjoy making a craft they can be proud of and take pride in the heritage of the 1800's.
