Have you always been curious about the different species of birds that frequent Tennessee? Or maybe you have a new bird feeder and are now curious who is visiting your backyard. Join us for an introduction into bird watching - Birding 101. Learn some tips and tricks for starting out on your birding hobby. Learn about birding gear from spotting scopes to field guides and practice your newly acquired skills during our field portion of the class.
Meet at the Johnsonville State Historic Park Visitor Center at 10 AM for the instructional portion of the program. After learning some basics, the group will then caravan to the park. Wear clothes and footwear for hiking. Walking will be less than 1 mile over level surfaces. Bring binoculars if you have or the park will have some pairs to loan out.
