Fishing Report Archives

Hey Y'all,

Captain Doug from the Excel Storm Cat 230. I just want to touch base with my readers that my spinal fusion surgeries seem to have been successful. I'm now three weeks post surgery and the issues that caused me to have the surgery have lessened to the point I don't think about them. For this I am grateful.

I did have a minor setback when my body decided it didn't like the tape that was used to hold the bandage over my lower right side. Having one's skin peeled off with a bandage is not something I recommend. That painful episode has now healed.

I should begin my physical therapy in a couple of weeks. I am driving while wearing a massive brace. It is actually not that uncomfortable.

I will probably ease into doing some light taxidermy work plus painting some custom crankbaits. My Beachball and Day Glow patterns for Pico Lures have been top sellers. I just submitted another pattern that will be familiar to many who have fished with me.

Obviously I haven't been on the boat but will soon begin to ask my fishing friends to provide me with up to date fishing reports. I hope to begin my new reports in a week or two.

I want to thank each and every one who have sent best wishes and prayers for my successful surgeries. They have been felt.
