CAPTAIN'S LOG
Air Temperature: Low 53 High 62
Water Temperature: Low 56 High 60
Water Elevation: 355.1 (Winter pool 354')
Water Clarity: Fairly clear 2' to 4' visibility
The days are getting warmer and with it we've seen an increase in the fish catching action. The crappies are coming shallow getting ready to spawn. The bass will be right behind them. Both crappie and bass are being caught on shallow wood. Casting small jigs to shore, vertical fishing brush, spider rigging and trolling jigs is producing crappie. Casting spinner baits, crank baits, jigs and soft plastics are producing some nice bass.
It seems spring has sprung!
