Captain's Log
February 5, 2019
Air Temperature: Low 45, High 70
Water Temperature: Low 44, High 47
Water Elevation: 354.3 (Winter pool 354')
Water Clarity: A good stain, 4-ft visibility in places, 6 inches in others
It's hard to believe, last week it was 15 degrees and this weekend and now it's a balmy 60 degrees to 70 degrees, that's February on Kentucky Lake!
I didn't fish this past weekend but lots of people did. I drove by four ramps and all were full of empty trailers. Talked with about eight boaters who had fished and every boat had the same story...NO FISH!
Not surprising with such dramatic change in weather. Although I'm sure a few others caught fish. A month ago I was catching them pretty good. I plan on catching 'em again soon!
Here's a couple pictures from January... just to let you know they are still in the lake.
Don't count Kentucky Lake out!
