Beauty, Bikes, & BBQ

Take a ride and join us in Grand Rivers for an afternoon of music, bar-b-que, door prizes and fun. Sponsored by Four Rivers Harley Davidson and the Village Market and Cafe. Bar-B-Que Vendor open 11:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Ride Registration (no registrations fee) sign-up 11:30 / Last Bike Out 12:30. Live Music from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Proceeds from soda and food sales benefit the Grand Rivers Chamber Beautification Committee. Event takes place at Four Rivers Harley Davidson Grand Rivers location and the Village Market and Cafe.

Children's Day on the Farm

Children will learn the importance of doing chores on an 1850's farm like making a bed, weaving, and attending an 1850's school at 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 p.m. They can also learn how to work mules and oxen at teamster training. Children earn credits for their hard work that can be used at the Children's Day General Store for 1850's-type goodies or to play with 1850's-style games and toys.

Hobie Bass Open and Consumer Fest

Trace Creek Cleanup

Join us from 9:00 a.m. - 12:0 p.m. as we pick up trash and tree limbs while we tidy up this section of the park for the summer. Work clothes, boots and gloves are recommended.

National Trails Day - Johnsonville Trails Scavenger Hunt

Join us at 10:00 a.m. at the Soldier's huts just inside the park gate where you can grab your list, but check it twice as you walk the trail to the lakefront area and see what all you find. Fabulous prizes await you for your efforts.

Kid's Free Fishing Tournament

Where:  Grand Rivers

Kids Free Fishing Tournament at Little Lake Park in Grand Rivers. Open for ages up to 12 years old. Bring your own pole - or use one of ours. Bait provided. Trophies awarded by age group. Refreshments provided. This event will be held at the Little Lake Park in Grand Rivers from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

National Trails Day - Johnsonville Trail Sampler

The hike will start at 10:00 a.m. and last about three hours while we trek about four miles over easy/moderate terrain and travel portions of the Civil War Forts Trail, the African-American Cemetery Loop, and the Historic Johnsonville Trail. Free admission. Recommended to bring a water bottle, good walking shoes and to dress for the weather.

Steve McCadams "Casting For A Cure" Kids Fishing Rodeo

The popular event is free and open to boys and girls age 15 and under. Registration will be held from 7-9 a.m. on-site at The Barn, a pavilion adjacent to the lake. Kids will fish from 9-11 a.m. An awards presentation will follow the weigh-in. A concession trailer complete with hamburgers, chips and cold soft drinks donated by local merchants and Pepsi will be on site and operated by local Relay volunteers. Kids are asked to bring their own bait and tackle. However, a few loaner rod and reel combos will be available. Special prizes such as engraved plaques and bicycles will be awarded in four separate age brackets for the youngster catching the biggest and most fish. Age brackets will be 5 and under, 6-9, 10-12, and 13-15.

400 Mile Yard Sale

Junior Ranger Camp

Johnsonville State Historic Park will once again host its annual Junior Ranger Day Camp. Your child will love learning about the lives of Civil War soldiers, and will also learn about nature while being active and outside! After completing the camp, the cadets will be sworn in as official Junior Rangers of Tennessee State Parks at a special campfire graduation ceremony in front of their friends and families.

On Saturday, June 13, in honor of National Get Outdoors Day, Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area will waive admission fees to Woodlands Nature Station. The Nature Station opens at 10:00 a.m. and closes at 5:00 p.m. Events include:
Cats of the World at 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
Animal Avengers at 2:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.
Parade of Raptors at 4:30 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. (Everyday)
Animal Encounters throughout the day.

The 17 Annual Pickin' Party: Old-Time Music Festival

The 17 Annual Pickin' Party: Old-Time Music Festival. Saturday, June 13 & Sunday, June 14, experience the best of old-time music through workshops, jamming sessions and energized performances of folk, string band, old-time fiddle, banjo, and bluegrass music. Bring your banjo, guitar, fiddle, or harmonica and join in on the fun during open mic sessions. Sit back under the shade trees and enjoy the best old-time music around. The Pickin' Party brings some of the best of old-time musicians. 1850's children's activities will be provided throughout the weekend. Bring lawn chairs or ground blankets. $7 Age 13 and up; $5 - Age 5-12. Includes entry to the farm.

Drag Boat Races

The Kentucky Drag Boat Association returns to Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area to host drag boat races June 6-7, July 4-5, and August 1-2. The races will take place in Pisgah Bay on Kentucky Lake this summer. Races run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., depending on weather and number of participants. Time trials will be held on Saturday and final races on Sunday. Spectators can park and watch the races at Birmingham Ferry Backcountry Area. There is a spectator fee of $5 per person; children under 12 are free. Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or ground blankets for watching the races.

Southern Gospel Nights at The Kentucky Opry
