Cool Critters Day

Where:  Grand Rivers

Come face to face with lots of amazing animals as you discover the world of cool critters. Bugs, turtles, snakes, and mammals. Admission is $5 for ages 5 and up. 4 and under are free. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Wranglers Primitive Rodeo

Where:  LBL

Kids can meet and greet the rodeo bullfighters/clowns between 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Grand entry and the competition will begin at 7:30 p.m. See Jr. Bullriding, Wild Together Trick Riders, and kids 8 and under can join in the Calf Scramble. Rodeo Events Include: Bareback riding, Saddle bronc riding, Ranch bronc riding, Calf scramble 8 yrs and under(no entry), Calf roping, Breakaway roping, girls all ages/ boys 14 yr & under, Steer wrestling, Cowgirls Barrel racing, Team roping, Youth barrel racing (can enter both days at rodeo), Bull riding, Jr bull riding/ invitation only, Ribbon roping. Admission is $10, seniors is $8, children 7-12 is $6, and children 6 and under is free. Spectators should bring blankets and/or chairs. Food vendors will be onsite.

Wranglers Campground Rodeo Returns

Wranglers Campground will host the 19th Annual Primitive Rodeo, Friday and Saturday, July 17 and 18 at Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area. The rodeo is open to the public. Admission is $10 ages 13-59, $8 ages 60+, $6 ages 7-12, and free for children 6 and under. A family pack option is also available for $25 which includes admission for 2 adults and 2 children. Bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. Food vendors will be available. Enjoy half-price camping on Friday and Saturday at Wranglers. Woodlands Nature Station staff will present an animal program at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in the campground pavilion. Additionally, kids of all ages can play games and make crafts from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Hummingbird Festival

Check out hummingbird banding demonstrations which will be ongoing all weekend as hummingbird biologists find out about the current state of these fascinating flyers. Stroll through our outdoor gallery of local wildlife artists, stop by the native plant sale, and enjoy programs, artist demonstrations, a hummingbird gift shop, and kid's crafts & games. $7 for adults; $5 for ages 5-12; free for ages 4 and under. The Nature Station will be open from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Drag Boat Races

The Kentucky Drag Boat Association returns to Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area to host drag boat races, July 4-5, and August 1-2. The races will take place in Pisgah Bay on Kentucky Lake this summer. Races run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., depending on weather and number of participants. Time trials will be held on Saturday and final races on Sunday. Spectators can park and watch the races at Birmingham Ferry Backcountry Area. There is a spectator fee of $5 per person; children under 12 are free. Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or ground blankets for watching the races.

Grand Rivers Marina Day

In this little village of only 230 households and over 600 boat slips, Grand Rivers Marina Day is a big Celebration. This year's Marina Day celebration in Grand Rivers will include Free children's water fun and activities, Live Music, and a Big Fireworks show at Dusk.

Southern Gospel Nights at The Kentucky Opry

We are bringing back that great Southern Gospel to the Kentucky Opry! We call it SOUTHERN NIGHTS! Featuring some great bands, groups, and soloists and NEW young talent.
