If you are planning to explore the Land Between the Lakes, the first thing to do is to stop at the Visitor's Center, located just off US Highway 68 in the middle of LBL. At the Visitor's Center, you will find friendly staff ready to assist you. You will also find all the information you need regarding campgrounds, attractions, permits, and regulations.
At the Visitor's Center there are exhibits which explain the historical significance of LBL, how it came to existence, and what there is to do in LBL. Also located in the Visitor's Center is a gift shop with books, souvenirs, and apparel.
Take the Trace exit off US 68/KY 80. Turn right, then almost immediately turn left before the pond and you'll be at the Visitor's Center.
The Visitor's Center is open daily except Thanksgiving, December 25-26, and January 1.
