Disc golf has exploded in popularity across the nation. The Kentucky Lakes Area is no exception to it's popularity. Over the last several years, disc golf courses have been developed throughout the area.
Central Park Disc Golf Course - Murray, KY
The Central Park Disc Golf Course was completed in the fall of 2006 and is rapidly becoming the park's most used facility. The 18-hole course is located in Central Park off of Arcadia Drive in Murray. Hole #1 is located just past the Rotary Amphitheater on the right side of the road. The back 9 holes are located on the other side of the road. The course has a total length of over 5200 feet with a par of 58. The park also has a small pro shop.
Mike Miller Park Disc Golf Course - Draffenville, KY
An 18-hole par three disc golf course has been added to the park in 2008 and was designed by H.B. Clark. This short but challenging par 54 course has several opportunities for aces and the signature hole, number 15 is 420 feet, over the beautiful lake situated in the middle of the park. The unique, open layout of this course offers many elevation changes including uphill, downhill, blind tee shots and a practice basket.
Discs are sold at the visitors center pro shop. The front nine is located on north side of the main road and the back nine on the south side. This course is great for the novice yet challenging for the experienced fun for all ages from youth to seniors so come give it a try. Course length is 4,510 feet 2,255 on the front nine and 2,255 on the back nine.
