In recent years, disc golf courses have popped up all over the region surrounding Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake. Those ranging from nine to 18 holes are available at no charge to guests traveling throughout the Kentucky Lake area.
Many of the courses are established along tree-lined settings and others are situated in more open areas. All courses are open to the public and offer a variety of challenges that are appropriate for players of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. Most of the courses located in the western parts of Kentucky and Tennessee use a concrete tee and a DISCatcher target. All offer great views of the outdoor treasures located throughout the region and are easily accessible to visitors and residents, alike.

Mike Miller County Park Disc Golf Course (Benton, Ky.)
The 18-hole disc golf course that winds its way through Mike Miller County Park is a great destination for disc golf lovers looking for a well-maintained course, set against the back drop of well-manicured hills and picturesque tree lines. The park’s lake presents a welcomed obstacle to players at two holes. There are a few uphill shots that offer players a few daring challenges, as well as a few difficult hillside basket locations that make the course a bit more competitive. The course is located towards the back of the park and runs 4,496 feet.
Central Park Disc Golf Course (Murray, Ky.)
The well-defined fairways of the Central Park Disc Golf Course in Murray, Kentucky, present disc golf players with some lovely scenery and several challenging pin placements. The course includes a few long open holes and stretches 5,285 feet through the park.

Doctor’s Memorial Park & Old Park Disc Golf (Calvert City, Ky.)

At nearby Old Park Disc Golf Course, nine holes span 2,500 feet of park space. The park is generally flat with a few mature trees, offering some shade and a scenic view of the landscape.
Eiffel Tower Park (Paris, Tn.)
The 18-hole disc golf course located at Eiffel Tower Park (formerly Memorial Park) in Paris, Tennessee, gives players a mix of open areas and wooded holes to play. While most of the course is flat, there are a few elevated holes and a challenging pond shot can be taken at Hole #13. The park is easy to locate as it is not far from the City’s Eiffel Tower structure. The course runs 5,720 feet through the park.
Stuart Nelson Park (Paducah, Ky.)
If you don’t mind the drive, there is also a highly sought out disc golf course located in Paducah, Kentucky, about 30 to 45 minutes from Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley. The disc golf course located at Stuart Nelson Park is a challenging 18-hole course that takes players through the wooded areas of this historic park. Players will find holes located in dense wooded areas, as well as open fields. Just about all of the shots along this course provide some sort of dare to those seeking to improve their disc golf skills.
