Wildcat Creek Lodge Location

Wildcat Creek Campground sits on Kentucky Lake and is only a 10-minute drive to Murray, Kentucky, home to a variety of local shops, restaurants and antique stores. The grounds at Wildcat Creek are rich in natural attractions, including luscious, tree-lined walkways that guests love to peruse as they turn off their cellphones and reconnect with nature.

In a world where it’s difficult to catch one’s breath, Wildcat Creek Campgrounds give vacationers permission to slow down and unwind among the rich, colorful landscapes that encompass Kentucky Lake.

While primarily a campground, Wildcat Creek does have a three-bedroom, two-bathroom guest lodge on site. The lodge is fully furnished and is a short walk to the beach or the campsites. It includes plenty of space for families and friends to find a few treasured moments together around one of the fireplaces found in the living room and den.

The lodge has a fully equipped kitchen, which includes a dishwasher. There is also a washer and dryer, two spacious decks, a hot tub, a large yard, plenty of parking and a beautiful pond, which features a floating dock. Guests will certainly enjoy watching cable television on one of the large, flat screens in the house.

While a favorite place for vacation seekers wishing to relax during the day, more adventurous sorts are also attracted to these accommodations. In fact, hunters and fishermen from around the country have found the lodge to be an ideal location to unwind after a long day of roughing it outdoors.

The lodge comfortably sleeps 12 people.

The grounds include six large, shaded campsites with water and electric hookups. Grills, fire rings and picnic tables are set up at each site. A bathhouse and changing area is located nearby. Firewood and ice is available on site. Seasonal campers have access to a pump out service, as well.

Camper Rentals

For those who wish to lease a camper, the campground has two air-conditioned and heated campers available to rent. Each camper comes with a queen size bed and fresh linens. Other furnishings include a jackknife sofa and two bunk beds.

Rental campers also include a full bathroom and kitchen, full size refrigerator with a freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and cooking utensils. There is an outside deck, grill and picnic table. A fire pit is located on site, providing a fun space for families and friends to enjoy the fresh night air or to toast some marshmallows for old time’s sake.

Pet Policy

Some pets are allowed within the campgrounds, however aggressive dogs are prohibited. Pets are not allowed within the rental campers and lodge.

Other Amenities

Wildcat Creek provides a private and safe atmosphere that everyone can enjoy. A play area offers hours of entertainment for children. There is also a sandy, private beach where guests can indulge in a few games of beach volleyball or host a picnic in one of the shaded areas.

The campgrounds have proven to be a fun place for boaters and fishermen to launch their boats and to cruise the lake during the day. Many big catches have been pulled from these rich waters that border Wildcat Creek Campground.

In addition to the many entertainment options available at Wildcat Creek Campground, there are other conveniences that campers and guests of the lodge can enjoy. Those include coin-operated washers and dryers, on-site boat parking, a boat ramp that sits adjacent to the campgrounds, as well as a dump station.
