The Homeplace 1850s Working Farm Hosts Apple Fest this Weekend

Autumn has arrived at the Homeplace 1850s Working Farm and the Friends of Land Between the Lakes invites you to celebrate Apple Fest on October 15 and 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Visitors will take in the crisp autumn air and explore the uses, history, and crafts around this most famous of fruits- the apple. Event attendees will see the process of making apple cider, learn the history of Johnny Appleseed, carve an apple, and more!

Activities for both days include:
-Make Apple Cider
-Johnny Appleseed, the man who planted his way into myth and legend
-Fortune Telling
-Make Your Own Corn Husk Doll
-Amish Bake Sale
-10 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Making Apple Butter
-10 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. - Apple Carving
