Outdoor Kids' Fest at Woodlands Nature Station

The Friends of Land Between the Lakes invites you to bring the family to Woodlands Nature Station during the Labor Day Weekend for the Outdoor Kids' Fest, a kid-friendly foray into some basic but important outdoor skills. From learning about venomous animals to practicing your fishing skills, we'll learn some new ways to enjoy the outdoors,10 am – 4:30 pm on Saturday, August 31, Sunday, September 1 and Monday, August 2, at the Woodlands Nature Station inside Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, 3146 Silver Trail Road, Cadiz, Kentucky, 42211. Admission is $5 for ages 13 and up, $3 for ages 5 – 12 and free for ages 4 and under.

Programming includes:

Saturday, August 31
Throughout the day - Meet Smokey Bear
10 am - 4:30 pm - CSI: Campsite Scene Investigators
11 am - 4 pm - Here Fishy, Fishy: Basic Fishing Skills
11 am - 12 pm - "Slow Down" Nature Hike
1 - 1:30 pm - Bites, Stings and Venomous Things
1:30 - 3:30 pm - Make Your Own Animal Tracks Guide
2 - 2:45 pm - Kid vs. Wild
2:30 - 3:15 pm - Let's Get Snappy
4:30 - 4:50 pm - Parade of Raptors
