Major Highways
Interstate
24
Trigg County is proud to have Interstate 24 running
through its northeast corner. With two exits off the interstate,
Cadiz benefits from the major east-west route. Interstate 24 East
is the artery to Clarksville, Nashville, and Chattanooga.
Interstate 24 West runs to Kentucky Dam and Paducah, eventually running
into Interstate 57 near Marion, Illinois.
US
68/KY 80 East
This four-lane highway runs east to Hopkinsville, Bowling Green,
Lexington, and eventually stops in Findlay, Ohio. This road is
vital in linking Trigg County with Interstate 24. Over the past
three years, major development has occurred
along this road.
US
68/KY 80 West
Running west from Cadiz, this is a two-lane highway that connects Cadiz
with the Lake Barkley, LBL, Kentucky Lake, and eventually stops in
Paducah. The Kentucky Department of Transportation has plans to
four-lane the highway from Cadiz to Aurora in the next few years.
US
68 Business
In the early 1990s, a bypass was constructed south of Cadiz. This
bypass now serves as US 68/Kentucky 80. The original route through
downtown Cadiz was renamed US 68 Business. This road is very
scenic! We strongly suggest taking the business route instead of
the bypass, especially if you are looking for scenic drives.
Kentucky
139
Heading north, this two lane highway connects Cadiz with Interstate
24. It is also the Cadiz/Princeton route. Heading south, the
road crosses the state line into Tennessee
where it becomes Tennessee 120
and stops at US 79.
Kentucky
124
This road splits off of Kentucky 139 North of Cadiz and heads to
Cerulean. The road intersects with Kentucky 91 in Christian
County. Kentucky
164
Beginning in Canton, this road parallels
Lake Barkley all the way to Linton. Then the road turns east and
eventually ends up in Hopkinsville.
Kentucky
1489
This road intersects with US 68/KY 80 twice! The road serves Lake
Barkley State Resort Park and several other resorts and subdivisions
along Little River.
