Soaking rains drench Trigg County - November 26-29, 2001

The flood water from Little River is just one foot away from topping the pavement here at the park.

Rain began falling on the evening of November 26th in Trigg County and didn't stop until the early morning hours of November 30th.  According to the National Weather Service, Cadiz received 9.78 inches of rain, while Canton received 9.45 inches.  Murray was hit hardest with 11.38 inches of rain. The rain forced the closure or partial closure of 13 roads in Trigg County alone.
