Progress Report January 2011 Update: With the exception of the bridges crossing the lakes, the new four-lane US 68/KY 80 is now complete throughout the Land Between The Lakes. The project was completed in November 2010 and took a little more than three years to complete. Below are photos taken in the summer of 2009.  Devil's Elbow, east side  Devil's Elbow, west side  Looking east, about 3/4 mile west of Devil's Elbow  Looking east on top of the hill between Golden Pond (former site) and the Visitor's Center  At Lake Barkley - the concrete from the old US 68 route before it was relocated around 1960 to its present location is visible. Portion of the new eastbound lanes will use the old US 68 corridor |
