Piney Campground in LBL

Home | Land Between The Lakes | Piney Campground

Piney Campground is located at the southern tip of Land Between The Lakes, along the shores of Kentucky Lake.  It is home to over 300 electric sites which can accommodate large motor homes.  Piney also offers basic campsites and nine camping shelters/cabins.

The shelters are ideal for families with children or for those who want to camp but down own the necessary equipment to do so.  These one-room buildings have beds (Visitors will have bring sleeping bags or linens.), ceiling fans, tables and chairs, electric outlets, and a large front porch.  Those staying in camping shelters use the campground restroom and shower facilities, and no pets are allowed in the shelters.

Recreational opportunities abound at Piney Campground.  Campers can rent bicycles at the Outpost Supply Center (which is open from April to October) and explore the local bike trails or test their skills on the Bike Skills Court.  Piney is also home to an archery range, a playground, ball fields, a swimming beach, a campfire theater, boat ramps, and a fishing pier.  Camp staff lead recreation programs for all ages during the summer months.

Piney Campground is open from March 1 to November 30 (Water is available April 1-October 31).  For information on campground regulations, call 1-800-525-7077.
