Government

The City of Paris has a Commission-Manager form of government. The City Commission, composed of five persons elected every four years, selects one of the members to serve as mayor for a two-year term.

Henry County Government
Henry County has three other incorporated places.  They are Cottage Grove, Henry, and Puryear.  McKenzie, TN, the county seat of Carroll County, actually extends into Henry County in the extreme southwestern portion.

Henry County is governed by a county executive and 18 commissioners.  At 98, the county has a large number of volunteer firefighters.  There are 47 police officers and other staff in Henry County.  The insurance rating (ISO) for the county is 4, the same as the city.  For more information, visit www.henryco.com
