Nina & Pinta Columbus Replica Ships in Grand Rivers Exploration

The Nina & Pinta, two Columbus replica ships were docked on Labor Day weekend 2010 in Grand Rivers at Green Turtle Bay.  The ships have been called "the closest replicas to Christopher Columbus' ships ever built".  The ships were hand made; no machines were used to construct the boats.

The ships were relatively small for an ocean voyage.  The Nina was just 65 feet long (18 foot beam) with the Pinta being larger at 85 feet (24 foot beam).

They were available to the public for touring.  We snapped these photos while there.  Be sure to check out the video as well!
