Kentucky 94
Kentucky 94 runs from Kentucky 80 near Aurora to the KY/TN border south of Hickman, KY.   Kentucky 94 East's importance has been replaced by the new modern Kentucky 80.  Up until recently it was the only east-west route through Murray.  Kentucky 94 West is the link between Fulton and Murray, and is much less traveled than the eastern highway.

Kentucky 121
Kentucky 121 North is a vital link between Murray and Mayfield.   Perhaps the most traveled two-lane highway in Calloway County, many commuters jam the roadway every day traveling to MSU or from Murray to Mayfield for work.  Kentucky 121 South goes into Tennessee, and intersects US 79 in Henry County near Kentucky Lake.  Kentucky 80 will run parallel to Kentucky 121 and will replace the traffic flow of 121 when it is completed in 2009.

Major Arteries Under Construction
In the next few years, Murray/Calloway County will see more major road projects than ever before.  Kentucky 80 mostly has been re-routed through Calloway County, from the east to the west, intersecting US 641 just north of the city limits.   When completed, it will run parallel to Kentucky 94 East and Kentucky 121 North, linking Mayfield, Murray, and Cadiz with a major four-lane highway.   The picture at right, taken in September 2001, shows progress of the new highway at Clark's River just north of Murray.  This section of the highway has long been completed.

Also in the works is the major widening of US 641 South from Murray to the Tennessee state line in Hazel. 

The city of Murray will also be getting another five-lane highway.  Kentucky 121 North from Coldwater Road to US 641 will be widened to five lanes.  Construction on that will be sometime around 2010.
