Since its opening in the summer of 1998, the CFSB Center (formerly known as the Regional Special Events Center, or RSEC), has hosted several sporting events, trade shows, conventions, and concerts.  The facility seats 8,602 for basketball, about 7,900 for concerts, and almost 10,000 for wrestling.  All seating in the facility is retractable, allowing floor space for conventions, trade shows, and exhibitions.

The arena is home to the Murray State University men's & women's basketball program.  The men's program has had storied success over the past 85-plus years, compiling a winning percentage of .636. The Racers are one of the Top 20 winningest NCAA Division I programs in the nation.
